To the 110th anniversary of the birth of Dmitry Shostakovich, the great Russian composer of the 20th century
September 25, 2016 at 19.00 in the concert hall “Upper City” will be a concert called “Musical Satire”, which is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian composer of the 20th century Dmitry SHOSTAKOVICH.
The concert will feature compositions of the early period of the composer’s work of the 1930s, little known and not often sounding in our country, in which Shostakovich displayed all the absurdity, absurdity and frankly ridiculous absurdities of the Soviet system of that time. He masterfully created musical caricatures-sarcasm, ridiculed bureaucracy and much more, thereby enabling intellectuals to understand and comprehend what is happening in the country.
Where it was impossible to speak with a word and an image, a musical satire, as a reflection of reality, came to the fore.
The ensemble “Minsk-Classic” will create musical parodies on the stage, and the director and conductor of the collective, the laureate of international competitions, the scholarship of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus – Maksim Rassokha, with his usual irony and humor will tell and reveal the imaginative content of each work.
So all those who come to the concert will be able to plunge into the world of musical satire, remember and even get acquainted with the brilliant works of Shostakovich and get bright, positive emotions!
