Quartet “Riviera” presents a new program –
Jewish music of Belarusian composers of the twentieth century
Concert-presentation of the disc “Jewish Music of Belarusian Composers”.
March 6, 2012 (Tuesday) at 19.00 in the Great Hall of the Belarusian Academy of Music (International, 30, Minsk) will be a concert presentation of the disc “Jewish Music of Belarusian Composers”.
The Museum of History and Culture of the Jews of Belarus together with musicians of the quartet of wooden wind instruments Riviera (the head of the ensemble Maxim Rasokh) recorded a CD with little-known works of Belarusian composers on the Jewish theme. Many works are performed for the first time. This project was realized thanks to the grant of the cultural department of the US Embassy in the Republic of Belarus.
The concert will feature works by the classics of Belarusian music: Vasily Zolotarev, Nikolai Aladov, Samuel Polonsky, Mikhail Kroshner, Henry Wagner, Edi Tyrmand, Alexei Turenkov, and others.
